Everything is what it is. There is nothing symbolic, parodistique or illusionistique in our work, but we do not always tell the mere truth. We want a direct as possible transport from the life in theatre and the theatre in life.

With speech and gesture the performer attempts to impress his audience. It's a dance for gangsters, a dance which has fallen out of the sky.

The two dancers, on the one hand a European dancer and, on the other, a dancer from the Ivory Coast, meet on an empty stage to enter into a dialogue in front of the audience. While the Ivorian dancer describes African Dance tradition and streetdances like Logobi and Coupe Décaler, the German dancer translates and demonstrates concepts of contemporary European dance - they compare and contrast by presenting the varying styles of movement and examining their relevance and contents in different contexts. Through these dialogues and demonstrations the perception of African dance collides with concepts of european dance. The question is if it’s only about dance or even more: what is in the eye of the beholder?"
