Livia's Room er en engelskspråklig praktbok med flotte fotografier, fjorten kapittelforfattere, både kunstfaglige og akademikere, og Lene Therese Teigens scenetekst som avslutning på boken.

Den forteller om utviklingen av det tverrestetiske og tverrdisiplinære prosjektet gjennom fem år, med et rom som hovedkarakter i sceneteksten, og som omdreiningspunkt for resarch og dialog kunst-akademia.

Det blir lesning fra sceneteksten og samtale om boken og tid til både festtaler og signering.

I prosjektets kjernegruppe er tekstilkunstner Ingrid Aarset basert i Bergen, Lovisa Brännstedt, antikkhistoriker ved Universitetet i Lund, Sverige, og Thuridur Jonsdottir, islandsk komponist, og jeg. Premieren var ved Cornerteateret i Bergen 21.oktober 2022.

Lovisa Brännstedt is Associate Professor in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at Lund University, Sweden. Her research focuses on Roman culture in general and the political history of Rome in particular. Her PhD dissertation Femina princpes. Livia’s position in the Roman state is an in-depth study of the foundations of her position as the first empress of Rome. Brännstedt has published several articles on Livia and is currently working on a volume on her for the Oxford Women in Antiquity series.

Lene Therese Teigen, based in Oslo, Norway, is an artist who oscillates between writing and directing, mainly her own texts. She is a theatre scholar with a cand.philol. degree from the University of Bergen, specialising in dramaturgy, and she has a background as a film maker and radio drama creator. Teigen has published novels, plays and drama history since 1993. Her plays have been translated into several languages and are produced on all continents. She stands out for her rich combination of academic insight, creative rigour, and international impact. Her works often tackle collective memory, social issues and female perspectives in bold dramaturgical structures and commitment to gender-conscious storytelling.
